eVisa: 

The India eVisa is an electronic visa that allows travelers to visit India for tourism, business, or medical purposes without having to visit an Indian embassy or consulate. It simplifies the visa application process by allowing individuals to apply online and receive their visa electronically.


Types of India eVisas: Note:Government of India reserves right to change below visas and details. 

  • Tourist eVisa: For tourism purposes, valid for 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days, depending on your nationality.
  • Business eVisa: For business meetings, conferences, and other professional activities, usually valid for 60 days.
  • Medical eVisa: For seeking medical treatment in India, valid for 60 days.
  • Medical Attendant eVisa: For accompanying someone who is seeking medical treatment in India.
  • Conference eVisa: Thirty days (30 days) from the date of arrival into India, with single entry. Applicant will be required to upload all documents and details on MHA Website.
  • Ayush eVisa: Sixty days (60 days) from the date of arrival into India with triple entries.
  • Ayush Attendant eVisa: Sixty days (60 days) from the date of arrival into India with triple entries.
  • Student eVisa: One year (365 Days) from the date of grant of ETA with Four Entries
  • Student Dependent eVisa: One year (365 Days) from the date of grant of ETA with Four Entries


Validity and Entry Points:

  • Duration: The validity depends on the type of eVisa. The most common duration is 30 days or 60 days, depending on your nationality.
  • Entry Points: You can use the eVisa to enter India at specific international airports and seaports.


eVisa Limitations:

  • Not valid for all ports of entry; check the list of eligible airports/seaports.
  • It is for short-term visits only and does not allow you to extend your stay.
  • Certain countries may have restrictions or limitations on obtaining an eVisa.
